Palma
is one of Spain's most attractive cities, with a stunning seafront
location, beautiful old quarters, excellent shopping and a
sophisticated nightlife. The cathedral and surrounding gothic area
with its maze of narrow streets are well worth exploring on foot,
whilst the views from Bellver Castle over the city are stunning.
Playa de Palma lies at the east end of the Bay of Palma and is the
resort closest to the airport. Its position is between C'an Pastilla
in the west and El Arenal in the east and it is ten kilometres from
the capital, Palma. The three resorts almost merge into one and are
joined by a wide promenade which has a mini-train running along it
between the resorts. The beach offers a variety of water sports and
there is provision for many leisure activities in the area. Playa de
Palma has numerous bars and restaurants catering for most tastes.
Night clubs, bars and discos provide lively entertainment. |
